About Me:

MOHAMMED MONTASIR ISLAM, age 48 years born to Nazrul Islam and Mst. Sakhina Khatoon at Dhaka, Bangladesh. Completed his SSC (1987) and HSC (1989) study from Udayan School, Dhaka and Notore Dame College, Dhaka respectively. He passed his MBBS graduation from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal under Dhaka University in May, 1997. As a Family Medicine Specialist, he obtained two degrees FCGP and MCPS in the same year 2002 from ‘Bangladesh College of General Practitioner’ (BCGP), Mirpur, Dhaka and ‘Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeon’ (BCPS), Mohakhali, Dhaka respectively. He stood First in FCGP examination and became one of the honorary Faculty Member of the respective college.

After which, a twist in his carrier and became a dedicated Basic Subject teacher of medical science obtaining M. Phil (Physiology) from Dhaka Medical College, Dhaka in July 2006. He has been teaching Physiology for last 18 yrs. He is a regular examiner under Dhaka University since 2007 and a fully ranked Professor having 15 publications.

He has been practicing Family Medicine since 2002 and he has giving special attention to Diabetic patients as a Diabetologist from 2014. He obtained CCD from BIRDEM in 2014.

Besides his academic carrier, he was a National ex-cricketer. Member of School Cricket team, Captain of Notore Dame college and Sher-e-bangla Medical College cricket team, Member of Barisal District National Cricket team. As a captain he earned a Runner-up trophy for Sher-e-bangla M. C. in Inter Medical Cricket Tournament in 1995 held at Rangpur Medical College.
